Aces out to recover after back-to-back Finals losses

MANILA, Philippines — The last time the Aces were in the PBA Governors' Cup Finals, they got swept.

If Alaska is to avoid the same fate in 2018 against the Magnolia Hotshots, then the Aces need a win Sunday.

Down 0-2 in the best-of-7 series, Alaska is almost required to come away with a win as the series continues Sunday for Game 3 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Losing Game 1 by 16, Alaska looked like it was on its way to a Game 2 win Friday.

But then the Aces went cold, going scoreless for the game's last five minutes as Magnolia stole the win and a 2-0 lead early.

The time to recover for Alaska is now, or else the Aces might be on their way to yet another Finals loss.

Tip off for Game 3 will be at 6:30 p.m. live from Antipolo.
