MANILA – Despite suffering a slump in the ongoing Philippine Cup Finals, San Miguel’s Arwind Santos believes they can still turn the series around against Alaska.
The defending champions are now down 0-3 in the race-to-four PBA Finals and part of the reason they have been losing is that the 2013 Most Valuable Player was struggling with his shots against the Aces.
In Game 3, Santos had an atrocious 2-of-11 three-point shooting, including his attempt in the final minute that could have tied the scores 78-all. But his shot didn’t sink in and Alaska went on to claim an 82-75 win for their third straight victory in the series.
Alaska will have the chance to wrap up the series in Game 4 on Sunday and claim its first all-Filipino title since 2000.
Santos, however, remained positive that they will avoid a sweep and turn the series to their favor.
”May isa pa kaming buhay natitira,” he said.
