Donnie "Ahas" Nietes is set to take on Japan's Kazuto Ioka for the vacant WBO junior bantamweight title on New Year's Eve.
A deal has been agreed between Tom Loeffler of 360 Promotions and Nietes' promoter Michael Aldeguer of ALA Promotions after several weeks of negotiations, according to an ESPN report.
The fight will take place at Wynn Palace resort in Macau, China.
Nietes (41-1-5, 23 KOs) recently settled for a draw against fellow Filipino Aston Palicte last September in "Superfly 3".
Palicte demanded a rematch but the WBO instead ordered Nietes to take on Ioka for the vacant 115-pound title.
Just like Nietes, Ioka (23-1, 13 KOs) is also also gunning for a world title in a fourth weight class.
He recently ended a 17-month retirement with a 10-round decision win over McWilliams Arroyo.
