The Philippine Azkals rose to 111th in the FIFA world ranking, their highest in history, according to the latest report released by the football's world governing body.
The national men's football team placed 113th in the previous list, its all-time best until this month when it climbed the ladder again.
The country is second among Southeast Asian nations on the world rankings, following Vietnam (102).
The Azkals, preparing for the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup in December and its first foray in the AFC Asian Cup in January 2019, are 19th among Asian FAs, with Iran emerging first in the continent.
Germany, Brazil and Belgium are the top 3 in the world.
