Even though Barangay Ginebra put on a brave face after its most recent loss, the team knows the road ahead will be bumpy without Japeth Aguilar.
Having its prized center back on Sunday should now give the PBA’s most popular club reason to be relieved.
Ginebra takes one last crack at an outright quarterfinals berth when it takes on NLEX in the Philippine Cup at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City on Sunday.
Tip-off is at 6:45 p.m., after GlobalPort plays Rain Or Shine at 4:30 p.m., another game with playoff implications.

Ginebra lost Aguilar when it fell to Phoenix 79-73 on January 22 after he hyperextended his left elbow. His teammates played down the injury, saying it had little to do with the defeat.
According to a report on Spin.ph, Aguilar will suit up Sunday.
That’s good news for Tim Cone and co., who are gunning for win No.6 and don’t want a tiebreaker to determine their fate.
Meanwhile, the first game features two squads hoping to stop a two-game skid.
The winner between GlobalPort and Rain Or Shine will gain a seat in the quarterfinals.
