Over 6,600 examinees out of 7,146 examinees have managed to complete the four-Sunday examination held at the University of Santo Tomas that started Nov. 4, 2015.

The number of law graduates admitted to take the 114th bar exam is the biggest in the last four years, high court records showed.

Last year, the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) said a total of 6,370 law graduates applied for the 2014 Bar exams, or an increase of 729 from the previous year’s application.

But of the 6,370 applications, only 6,344 were admitted to take the exam of which only 5, 996 showed up for the first Sunday of the exam.

In the course of the four Sundays of the exams, the numbers were trimmed down to 5,984.

Out of the 5, 984, the OBC said 1,126 passed the 2014 Bar exams for a passing rate of 18.82 percent. The passing percentage was lowered from 75 percent to 73 percent.
