SEABA: Indonesia stays unbeaten after crushing Vietnam

MANILA, Philippines – Indonesia leapt to the top of the standings in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association Championship after routing Vietnam, 95-52, on Monday at Araneta Coliseum.

It was Indonesia’s fourth straight win in the tournament, putting the team at the top of the standings with hosts Philippines getting a day-off. Gilas Pilipinas is similarly unbeaten with a 3-0 slate.

Andakara Dhyakasa led Indonesia with 19 points, while Sandy Kurniawan continued his solid tournament with an 18-point outing, making six of his 10 attempts from behind the arc.

Indonesia set the tone with a 19-10 first quarter, and improved on its performance by outscoring Vietnam 22-10 in the second frame.

Han Minh Trieu and Ngoc Tu Le had 12 points each for Vietnam, which dropped to 1-2 in the tournament.
