Carlos Zarate are apprehensive.
Another outrageous statement from the president. But after saying publicly he smokes marijuana to stay awake, he said it was just a joke. Meanwhile, the President also ruled out any pardon for the policemen who killed youngster Kian delos Santos.
In his first flag-raising ceremony as chief justice, Lucas Bersamin called for everyone to respect the decision of the President to appoint him to the position. Three of his colleagues who were contenders for the post were absent from the event. Today will be the first en banc session to be presided by Bersamin. Any decision should be closely watched as this can indicate what kind of court Bersamin will be running.
